Happy 20th Anniversary Pathways!

Happy 20th Anniversary to the Pathways Program! Dr. Keane created the Pathways Program in 1999 to provide mainstream academics, functional academics, and vocational curriculum to students of varying needs and differences. Within this framework, the Pathways staff work to guide each student to pursue goals and objectives included in the IEP. The school program is designed to provide subject areas related to general education curriculum, career development, employment, self-awareness, and independent living skills, and opportunities for social participation both within the CCHS community and surrounding areas. Pathways has been integral in assisting students as they prepare for the transition to adulthood, Congratulations to the Pathways Program, students, families, and staff for the last twenty years, and best wishes for many more to come!

Last Friday we held a great celebration in Pathways.  Although we missed some of our Pathways crew, it was great to see everyone that could make, current students and Pathways Alums, alike.  Everyone brought delicious food and the weather was great.  It was so awesome to see everyone show off their talents singing karaoke.  From Elvis to disco to rock to metal, students and staff showcased an array of musical favorites!  Wonderful to celebrate the end of a successful school year!

To celebrate a wonderful and fun-filled year the Pathways Program had a party! Everyone brought their favorite dish or snack. Students and teachers played games, sang karaoke, and had fun in the photo booth!

I had an awesome time at my first Pathways party! It was great to see the students relax after working so hard in school. It was also lots of fun to meet Pathways alumni and other friends! My favorite part was seeing everyone have fun singing karaoke. Maybe next time I will be brave and try it for myself!
