Gaining Ground
By Jack:
On Tuesday, August 14th, we volunteered at Gaining Ground. The first task we did was digging for potatoes in the beds. We didn't wear any gloves so we got dirty easily. We had to dig really deep to find them, and sometimes I would find rocks which felt like potatoes at first. The other task we did was removing metal arcs and sandbags from the cabbage patch. I enjoy going to Gaining Ground each Pathways Summer, and always have a great time visiting there.
Thank you letter from Gaining Ground:
We hope your group enjoyed the experience and that you will take the time to answer our very short survey:

Thanks so much for lending a hand at Gaining Ground so we can grow and donate organic produce for hunger relief. Our work couldn't happen without you.
