Lesley University Student Tour

By Keilan

Yesterday the Pathways students went to Lesley University and got to see the dorms and a classroom on the campus tour. For me it was my first time seeing a dorm in person, I always wondered what one looked like. In the dorm we went into the common living space, where there was a kitchen and a bathroom. There was also a TV. Seeing the dorm made excited for college in the future.

I liked that the schools classrooms were smaller than I expected. In a small class, you may be able to interact with other students more and the professors are more likely to be available for help. The average student to professor ratio is 15:1 at Lesley. Within the classrooms, the seating arrangement is at tables the shape of hexagons, which allows you to be more interactive.

The food in Harvard Square tasted good, I had a Rise and Shine burger from Tasty Burger which had bacon and eggs on it. There were a lot of interesting people at Harvard Square.

For the second half of the tour at Lesley we toured the Brattle Campus. Our tour guide showed us the library and she told us it was a quieter area of campus. The architecture was very historic and pretty. Students use this part of campus as a break from the city life. We then went the dining commons at Washburn Hall. It was cool to find out it was buffett style. It was also cool to learn that they have so many different options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lastly, we went to Harvard Square for lunch. I went to Tasty Burger and got a cheeseburger and fries with a lemonade. Some students to Shake Shack, and some went to get pizza at Otto. It was an awesome trip.
