Life Skills Gets into the Spirit!

By Mr. Keane

Last week was an exciting week for the Life Skills Class. Thank you to Genna Keefe for picking apples from her own apple tree and supplying them for the class to create a wonderful apple cake.

On Wednesday morning, we went shopping at Crosby's and some of the students had the opportunity to help out around the store. Teddy is pictured below supporting Irene from the bakery stocking shelves.

On Friday, the students participated in a kitchen scavenger hunt. Hats off to Ms. Ring for designing this creative endeavor. This was a wonderful way to assess the students' skills in terms of identifying ingredients and locating the various utensils in the kitchen.

Lastly, the students made tremendous pumpkin cinnamon rolls. This was courtesy of The Accessible Chef Cooking website, click here for the recipe. Having orange and green frosting gave the students an opportunity to use their creative palette.  We look forward to celebrating the fall season in more fun and creative ways!
