The Statue of Liberty

In ELA we learned about the Statue of Liberty. As a class, we watched BrainPop Jr. and a virtual tour of the Statue of Liberty. We also read about the Statue of Liberty. We learned that the Statue of Liberty was built over 100 years ago. The Statue of Liberty was 151 feet tall and people climbed 354 steps to stand inside the Statue of Liberty’s head and look at New York Harbor. The Statue of Liberty was a gift to America from the people of France. Lady Liberty wears a crown of 7 rays which represents the 7 continents. More than 5,000,000 people visit the Statue of Liberty each year.

During class, each student shared their Google Slides and did a great job! Everyone did a good job presenting and complementing each other.

Learning about the Statue of Liberty was fun!
