Autism awareness is great - autism acceptance is better!

Our autism awareness & acceptance tree is growing strong but we need you to glue a puzzle piece outside the Pathways room! We hope that it is helping people understand that people are all different but can all fit together! Tomorrow, we are holding a fundraiser, offering fresh brewed coffee for school staff! We are asking for donations, which will go to the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN), a non-profit organization run by and for people with autism.  The mission of the ASAN is to empower people with autism to be a part of the national movement for rights for those with disabilities.  During Life Skills class, we baked gluten-free banana muffins and cinnamon swirl coffee cake to offer during our coffee fundraiser.  Everyone making a donation will also be able to choose an autism awareness magnet, bracelet or pin.
